CSCI @ U-M is committed to providing resources to help you improve green computing practices wherever you are on campus or at home. Our goal is to make it easy for you to understand how you can makea difference. We also want to make it easy for you to share green computing practices with others. Together our small changes have a huge impact on reducing U-M's carbon foot print!

There are about 80,000 desktop computers on campus. That makes about 80,000 opportunities to conserve energy, not to mention the energy that can be saved with other computing equipment. Even bigger savings will come with virtualization and data center and server room consolidation.
